摘要: The Shield Prototype manufactured by the European Home Team is representative of Primary Wall Module No. 11 as designed for ITER 1998 Design. This module was selected because it had most complicated shape to fabricate due in particular its double curvature poloidal and toroidal directions. It consists a stainless steel block about 4 tons, equipped with eight penetration holes through all features at rear side walls required attachment system. All these requirements led complex cooling channel arrangement inside module, making fabrication powder Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIPping) very attractive competitive. paper describes main steps manufacture results non-destructive examination. These results, which shall be confirmed destructive examination, have shown so far manufacturing feasibility HIPping Modules.
