摘要: Meningiomas may express a number of potentially growth-promoting receptors including for progesterone, growth hormone and vascular endothelial factor (VEGF). These other are potential targets chemotherapy. We have prospectively studied panel markers as routine in order to obtain data individual expression that provide anti-receptor treatment. One hundred seventy-five consecutive patients operated on meningiomas between 2005 2008 were analysed with antibodies against hormone, insulin-like 1 (IGF-1), androgen receptors, progesterone (PR) CD34, VEGF, Ki-67 caspase-3. Expression IGF-1 receptor (IGF-1r), epidermal (EGFR) E30 (GHr) was conserved across histological grades found 88% 94% meningiomas. PR detected 87%, but decreased aggressive tumours. Angio-markers such VEGF CD34 69% 17% meningiomas, respectively. Androgen caspase-3 uncommon. The analyses undertaken clinical assess its feasibility can be utilised setting. Three putative therapeutic targets, IGF-1r, GHr EGFR expressed large majority tumours contrast maintained despite increasing pathological grade meningioma. Our also suggest anti-progesterone therapies anti-angiogenic could targeted subsets meningioma who or CD34-positive
