摘要: The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) has been counted for conserving threatened marine fish since it regulates the commercial international trade these species. Implementation treaty Mantas included CITES Appendix II is challenging due to insufficient information species identification markets management. To fill gap such aspects, we identified five Mobulid rays (Mobula spps. Manta spp) by using COI NADH2 mtDNA markers dried ray gill rakers from Chinese markets, namely, Mobula japonica (representing 54.8% sample set), M. tarapacana (14.4%), kuhlii (13.3%), thurstoni (6.4%), along with birostris (11.2%; II). utilization conservation statuses were discussed. Based combination DNA barcodes key morphological characters, developed a three-step process identifying which adopted frontline enforcement China. We hope that our work can serve as foundation basis reinforce objectives treaties, regulation consumer-driven regional cooperation, national fishery management endangered elasmobranchs China well related countries.
