摘要: OBJECTIVES: Probabilistic models have been developed to establish the relative merit of subjective phenomena by means specific judgmental tasks involving discrete choices (DCs). The attractiveness these DC is that they are embedded in a strong theoretical measurement framework and based on relatively simple tasks. aim our study was determine whether values derived from experiment comparable those obtained using other valuation techniques, particular time trade-off (TTO). METHODS: Two hundred nine students completed several which we collected DC, rank, visual analog scale, TTO responses. data were also general population sample (N=444). designed Bayesian approach, involved 60 between two health states comparison all being dead. analyzed conditional logit rank-ordered model, relying, respectively, value for dead anchor DC-derived 0 1 quality-adjusted life-year (QALY) scale. RESULTS: Although modeled broadly replicated pattern found responses, consistently produced higher values. methods anchoring QALY scale similar results. CONCLUSIONS: On basis high level comparability values, future studies combination techniques may be considered. results further suggest can potentially used as substitute TTO.
