摘要: Abstract To develop the suitable film formulations of propranolol hydrochloride (PPL) containing enhancers for transdermal use, polymeric were prepared by employing ethyl cellulose (EC) and polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) as a former, dibutyl phthalate (DBP) plasticizer. Terpenes such menthol cineole, propylene glycol (PG) also employed chemical enhancer to improve skin penetration PPL. The preparations characterized in physical properties uniformity drug content, thickness moisture uptake capacity. Release permeation kinetics PPL from examined vitro studies using Franz-type diffusion cell. content was evidenced low S.D. values each preparation. capacity release rate increased with increase PVP Enhancers present study preparations. Increasing concentration 1 2 mg/cm2 enhanced PPL, while no effect concentrations on observed. In showed that cineole most promising among suggested compositions preparation would be EC:PVP:PPL = 6:3:4 10% (w/w) 7:2:4 PG which provided high rates at 93.81 ± 11.56 54.51 ± 0.52 μg/cm2/h, respectively.
