摘要: Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP), which is found in 27- or 38-amino acid forms, belongs to the VIP/glucagon/secretin family. PACAP and its three receptor subtypes are expressed neural tissues, with known exert a protective effect against several types of damage. The retina considered be part central nervous system, retinopathy common cause profound intractable loss vision. This review will examine expression morphological distribution receptors retina, summarize current state knowledge regarding different kinds retinal damage, such as that identified association diabetes, ultraviolet light, hypoxia, optic nerve transection, toxins. article also address PACAP-mediated pathways involving glial cells.
