摘要: Glaucoma is a known risk factor for retinal vein occlusion (RVO). There are many reported studies among primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) patients with RVO in Caucasians. Our objective was to report the natural course of Asian POAG. A retrospective record review conducted between January 2015 and December 2016 involving five POAG who developed while attending regular follow-up at Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia clinic (Malaysia). Three readings intraocular pressure (IOP) were taken as pre-RVO IOP. IOP presentation also recorded. Clinical data including management complications documented. All severe end stage disease. None them achieved target pressure. Median 26 ± 3.8 mmHg (SD) majority asymptomatic. Systemic hypertension present all patients. deterioration visual acuity increased number topical medication post presentation. Vigilant monitoring important systemic prevent RVO, given that like robbing someone blind twice.
