摘要: Functionalized copolymers of poly(aniline-co-o-iodoaniline) have been synthesized by the chemical oxidative polymerization method using o-iodoaniline (o-IA) and aniline (AN) as monomer units changing their molar feed ratio in acid aqueous medium. The physical properties viz; solubility, electrical conductivity studied to characterize them. possess better solubility than unsubstituted homopolymer organic solvent such N-methyl-2-pyrrodinone (NMP). pressed pellets as-synthesized depends upon content o-IA polyaniline (PANI). structural confirmation copolymer has explained Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy study which suggest that AN are uniformly distributed along polymer chain thus, may possibly be tailored varying copolymerization reactions. decreases increasing feed, because introduction –I- a functional group reduces extent conjugation chain.
