摘要: The vertical distributions of zooplankton biomass and community composition were measured on the equator at 140°W during March/April (19 days) October 1992 (21 days). El Nino conditions prevailed time series. average integrated (200 m) (>64 μm) was 32 mM C m−2 in 41 October. overall cruise means not significantly different; however more aggregated upper euphotic zone, there copepods >200 μm, day/night differences distribution as a result migration behavior. Cyclopoid abundant March compared to There no apparent trends However, species changed towards end series when meridional currents flowed south. Zooplankton increased nearly five-fold with passage tropical instability wave. A lag increase nitrate chlorophyll well changes over reflect response times upwelling events.
