摘要: Knowledge and understanding of shore platform erosion tidal notch development in the tropics subtropics relies mainly on short-term studies conducted recently deposited carbonate rocks, predominantly Holocene Quaternary reef limestones aeolianites. This paper presents rates, measured over a 10 year period notches platforms developed Permian, Ratburi limestone at Phang Nga Bay, Thailand. In so doing it contributes to informing particular knowledge gap our dynamics – rates relatively hard, ancient directly rock surface using micro-erosion meter (MEM) time periods decade or more. The average intertidal rate 0.231 mm/yr is lower than 2–3 years recent, weaker rocks. Average vary according location site are, rank order from highest lowest: Mid-platform (0.324 mm/yr) > Notch floor (0.289 mm/yr) > Rear wall (0.228 mm/yr) > Lower (0.140 mm/yr) > Notch roof (0.107 mm/yr) Supratidal (0.095 mm/yr). The micro-relief eroding surfaces each these positions exhibits marked differences that are seemingly associated with dominant physical bio-erosion processes. results begin help inform longer term dynamics, models marine have implications for use as indicators changes sea level duration past levels.
