摘要: Population-based cancer registries (PBCRs) generate measures of incidence and survival that are essential for surveillance, research, control strategies. In 2014, the Toronto Paediatric Cancer Stage Guidelines were developed to standardise how PBCRs collect data on stage at diagnosis childhood cases. These guidelines have been implemented in multiple jurisdictions worldwide facilitate international comparative studies outcome. Robust stratification by risk also requires key non-stage prognosticators (NSPs). Key experts stakeholders used a modified Delphi approach establish principles guiding paediatric NSP collection. With use these principles, recommendations made which NSPs should be collected major malignancies children. The 2014 reviewed updated where necessary. Wide adoption resultant will enhance harmonisation provided PBCRs.
