摘要: A method of measuring gastric secretions and emptying rates after ingestion an ordinary (solid-liquid) meal has been developed validated. The technique quantifies movements volume across the pylorus using constant duodenal perfusion with a nonabsorbable marker, polyethylene glycol (PEG), which, in turn, into duodenum another [14C]PEG, incorporated meal. Acid pepsin outputs can be determined without manipulation intragastric pH. Employing this method, we have simultaneously quantified acid, pepsin, total secretory outputs; secretions; serum gastrin levels during digestion. These data characterize physiological responses to food health.
