摘要: Post-transplant diabetes mellitus (PTDM) has been associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality following kidney transplantation, but the association between pre-diabetes (i.e. impaired fasting glucose and tolerance) CVD remains unclear. The aim this study was to assess abnormal regulation arterial stiffness at 3 15 months post-transplantation. This is a single-centre prospective cohort 83 non-diabetic transplant recipients who received 2008 2011. All patients underwent oral tolerance test (OGTT – categorised as normal, or PTDM) non-invasive measurements (aortic pulse wave velocity [PWV] augmentation index [AIx]) 3 months A sub-set had repeat OGTT (n = 33) (n = 28) post-transplant. Of patients, 52% (n = 43) normal regulation, 31% (n = 26) 17% (n = 14) developed PTDM. Compared PTDM (adjusted β = 5.61, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.09 11.13, p = 0.047) not those β = 3.23, CI -1.05 7.51, p = 0.137) significantly higher AIx after transplantation. No found PWV There no in subset recipients. Early onset systemic vascular (AIx) regional large arteries (PWV) suggesting that small vessel dysfunction may be earliest change seen Thus, transplantation assist more accurately stratifying future
