摘要: SYNOPSIS. Cilia devoid of their basal granules and isolated from Tetrahymena pyriformis strain W, by the method Watson et al. (66) have been characterized in terms physical, chemical immunologic properties. The general composition cilia, based on mean values these determinations is 66.3% protein, 24.3%“lipid,” 3.7 or 4.8% carbohydrate, 0.4% nucleic acid. The amino acid cilia includes hydroxyproline not significantly different whole cells. Chloroformmethanol extracts ciliary material contain free acids as well neutral lipids phospholipids. lipid also that Pentose, hexose small but significant amounts adenine nucleotide ribonucleic are present. Cilia a greater stimulus for production antibody than an equivalent amount cellular antigen, antigen specific.
