摘要: Recently the issues of reactive power compensation and voltage control have become important in operation systems, due to constant growth world demand as well diversification connected load. Several solutions been developed provide greater flexibility systems during light load maximum condition. These are two most critical conditions keep nodal at nominal value. In this paper a novel conceptual design variable reactor is proposed shunt device based on virtual air-gap principle. The suitability virtual-gap verified by means simulations laboratory test performed small-scale prototype. results obtained discussed confirm use feasible alternative for compensation.
