摘要: Abstract: We evaluated the antifungal and antibiofilm potential of hydroalcoholic extract bark from Anadenanthera colubrina (vell.) Brenan, known as Angico, against Candida spp. Antifungal activity was using microdilution technique through Minimum Inhibitory Fungicide Concentrations (MIC MFC). The tested in mature biofilms formed by species analyzed counting CFU/mL scanning electron micrograph (SEM). In vivo toxicity therapeutic action Galleria mellonella model. treatment with extract, low doses, able to reduce growth planktonic cells species. MIC values range between 19.5 39 µg/mL MFC 79 625 µg/mL. addition number cause structural alteration cellular destruction, observed via SEM. A. showed assay, having not affected viability larvae at doses below 100mg/kg high C. albicans infection. Considering its potential, infections model, is a strong candidate for development new agent oral candidiasis.
