摘要: We show how metagenomic analysis of the human gut antibiotic resistome, compared across large populations and against environmental or agricultural resistomes, suggests a strong anthropogenic cause behind increasing resistance in bacteria. This area has been subject intense polarized debate driven by economic political concerns; therefore such recently available insights address an important need. derive compare resistomes microbes from 832 individuals ten different countries. observe describe significant differences between samples these countries potential, line with expectations usage exposure medical food production contexts. Our results imply roles for both sources increased among pathogens recent history. In contrast, other metadata as age, body mass index, sex, health status have little effect on potential microbes.
