摘要: An agar gel immunodiffusion test was developed to detect precipitating antibody against ovine progressive pneumonia (OPP) virus. The conducted in plastic petri dishes containing 6 ml of 1% purified tris buffer and 8% sodium chloride. Wells for serum antigen were 8 mm diameter cut a hexagonal pattern 3 cm from central well. Tests read at 24 48 hours. Soluble the consisted concentrated nutrient medium removed every 2 weeks cell culture persistently infected with isolate WLC 1 OPP Specificity results verified by testing serums experimentally exposed sheep appropriate controls. Two lines precipitate formed some inoculated sheep. Serums taken soon after exposure virus those 4 years frequently only line precipitate. Of 37 lambs virus, 25% tested positive postinoculation (PI) month 1, 79% PI 3, all 6. appears adequate
