摘要: Abstract To establish when the presence of colloids can favour contaminant migration is a critical task for performance assessment high level radioactive waste repository. In this study, effects bentonite on highly sorbing elements, such as Eu and Pu, in granite environment were investigated. Special efforts made to quantify filtration medium determine experimental uncertainties that could bias interpretation results. The fracture was studied laboratory by dynamic column experiments under low water flow rates (4–11 mL/h). breakthrough curves always showed peak similar position conservative tracers, but recovery critically depended their initial concentration rate. colloids, Pu same thus indicating these radionuclides be mostly colloid-driven. adsorbed onto approximately expected experimentally determined colloid accounting significantly lower.
