摘要: xFoxJ1 and xFoxK1, two novel members of the fork head/winged helix family transcription factors in Xenopus, have been identified by sequence homology to their mammalian orthologues. We here report complete amino acid sequences xFoxJ1, its pseudo-allelic version xFoxJ1′, latter also comprising a fork-head-associated (FHA) domain. further analysed temporal spatial expression both genes. transcripts were detected during gastrulation dorsal blastopore lip animal half. A predominant feature until tailbud stage is spotty pattern within epidermis. xFoxK1 maternally expressed localized half early cleavage stages. Zygotic starts neurulation initially restricted neuroectoderm. As development proceeds, ectoderm- mesoderm-derived tissues, like branchial arches, brain, eye, otic vesicle, pronephros, somites abdominal muscle precursors.
