摘要: Cytogenetic analysis is an important tool in preand postnatal diagnosis as well cancer detection. In a traditional cytogenetic technique known karyotyping the metaphase chromosome spreads are prepared on glass slide and stained with Giemsa stain. The stain reveals specific banding pattern for each – bar code. Karyotyping often supplemented by molecular Fluorescent Situ hybridization (FISH), which requires use of fluorescently labeled DNA probes to target region. FISH preparations (metaphase or interphase nuclei) heat denatured, followed application probe at 37 °C. can be performed nuclei non-cultured cells less than 24 hrs, but structure cannot visualized. On other hand, has advantage visualizing entire karyotype once detect potential abnormalities high resolution. But, long time culturing required disadvantages.
