High voltage electric double layer capacitor using a novel solid-state polymer electrolyte

摘要: Abstract We designed and fabricated a bipolar-type electric double layer capacitor (EDLC) with maximum 7.5 V operating voltage using new concept in solid electrolytes. A cell having high voltage, that is free from liquid leakage non-flammable achieved by bipolar design utilizing polymer electrolyte made up of particles three-dimensional array, such as crystals composed 75 wt% hybrid decorated concentrated ionic brush (PSiP) 25wt% an (IL). The resulting film had sufficient physical strength enough conductivity to function electrolyte. Solidification well conduction due the regular array PSiPs, thereby producing ion-conductivity networked path between cores containing appropriate amount IL plasticizer. demonstration shows relatively good cycle durability rate properties 10C discharge process. It also has very small current continuous charging better self-discharge properties, even at 60 °C, compared conventional cells.
