摘要: Background Recommendations for routine frailty screening in general practice are increasing as prevalence grows. In England, identification became a contractual requirement 2017. However, there is little guidance on the most effective and practical interventions once has been identified. Aim To assess comparative effectiveness ease of implementation primary care. Design setting A systematic review Method Scientific databases were searched from inception to May 2017 randomised controlled trials or cohort studies with control groups care interventions. Screening methods, interventions, outcomes analysed included studies. Effectiveness was scored terms change status indicators human resources, marginal costs, time requirements. Results total 925 satisfied search criteria 46 included. There 15 690 participants (median study size 160 participants). Studies reflected broad heterogeneity. 17 different methods. Of 23 involved physical activity other health education, nutrition supplementation, home visits, hormone counselling. significant improvement demonstrated 71% (n = 10) 69% (n=22) where measured. Interventions both muscle strength training protein supplementation consistently placed highest implementation. Conclusion combination intervention delay reverse easiest implement map created that can be used inform choices managing frailty.
