Large conductance switching and memory effects in organic molecules for data-storage applications

摘要: We have observed a large electrical conductance switching (ON:OFF ratio=105) in single-layer sandwich structures based on organic molecules at room temperature. The devices showed an associated memory effect for data-storage applications. could write or erase state and read it many cycles. In devices, the active semiconductor retained its high conducting until reverse voltage erased it. A arose due to restoration of conjugation molecule via electroreduction. Such ON–OFF ratio single layer structure, as compared contemporary is low off-state leakage current. concept has been verified supramolecular by adding donor groups molecule, which resulted increased current hence lower ratio. Our work set generalized example selecting obtain higher molecular devices.
