Explosive hydrogen burning of 27Si, 31S, 35Ar, and 39Ca in novae and X-ray bursts

摘要: Stellar reaction rates for proton captures on the nuclei 27Si, 31S, 35Ar, and 39Ca are estimated from most recent nuclear structure information available. Reliable mirror-state correspondences found by using isobaric multiplet mass equation. An improved method calculating partial widths is applied. Systematic comparisons of excitation energies, spectroscopic factors, widths, γ-ray states same isospin presented. reaction-rate uncertainties deduced, our compared to previous estimates. Reaction network calculations performed investigate implications new nucleosynthesis in novae X-ray bursts. Our recommended varied within their assigned uncertainties, we find only minor effects energy generation final abundances after outbursts. Thus, contrary claims, no compelling reason measuring capture reactions radioactive ion beams.
