Theoretical study and experimental verification of vibration control of offshore wind turbines by a ball vibration absorber

摘要: In this paper, a ball vibration absorber (BVA) is introduced for control of offshore wind turbines. The dynamic responses turbines equipped with BVA are presented. Both theoretical and experimental investigations carried out. An analytical model the turbine tower system installed developed based on Lagrange's equation. BVA-structure integrated equations derived solved in both time domain frequency domain. A series shaking table tests 1/13-scale without were out to evaluate effects mitigation under earthquakes equivalent wind-wave loads. Numerical simulations performed compared results. Good agreement between numerical results observed. indicate that could effectively improve performance turbine.
