摘要: OBJECTIVES The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the effect various tooth-whitening products containing carbamide peroxide (CP) or hydrogen (HP), on enamel microhardness. METHODS Enamel blocks were exposed to: Nite White ACP 10% CP (Group 2, n=10); Yotuel Patient 3, Opalescence PF 4, 20% 5, Treswhite Supreme HP 6, 10 Minutes 30% 7, Quick 45% 8, n=10), Special 35% 9, Boost 38% 10, n=10) according instructions manufacturers. control 1, kept artificial saliva at 37 degrees C without any treatment. microhardness values obtained before exposure and after a 14-day treatment period. Specimens between treatments. Data analysed using Kruskal-Wallis one-way ANOVA Tukey-Kramer Multiple Comparison Test. Indent marks also examined under Scanning Electron Microscope. RESULTS All whitening decreased except group but only Groups 5 7 showed significant decrease as compared (p < 0.05). 3 differed significantly from all other groups highest damage recorded for Group 2 (Nite CP), which 7. SEM images enamel. CONCLUSIONS tested HP. more damaging because longer application times. reduction tested.
