摘要: With increasing urbanization the importance of cities for biodiversity conservation grows. This paper reviews ways in which is affected by and discusses consequences different approaches. Cities can be richer plant species, including native than rural areas. Alien species lead to both homogenization differentiation among urban regions. Urban habitats harbor self-sustaining populations rare endangered but cannot replace complete functionality (semi-)natural remnants. While many approaches tend focus on such relict settings, this argues a paradigm shift towards considering whole range ecosystems. Although attitudes may challenged novelty some ecosystems, are often linked high numbers nonnative it promising consider their associated ecosystem services, social benefits, possible contribution conservation.
