摘要: Experimental evidence and a simple model for special segregation effect in hydrophobically initiated emulsion polymerization are presented. This is controlled by the size ratio between droplets perfectly mixed volume of growing chains. It leads within certain range droplet to drastic retardation reaction. For reaction loci outside this critical range, monomer conversion is, at given time, drastically enhanced. The higher that smaller than value can be explained effective radicals as typical polymerization. Increasing bigger sized happens soon exceeds corresponding volume. limiting case latter situation been experimentally observed bulk Mathematical simulations with taking into account imperfectly conditions inside describe essential experimental data astonishingly well.
