Internationalising Employability Skills in Business Graduates: International Perspectives

摘要: Internationalising the Curriculum assumes a different focus depending on educational institution, its national and regional context as well cultural linguistic diversity of students staff. While conversations about internationalised curriculum often end up exclusively focusing international student exchange global mobility, a t Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia, an Internationalised forms part of the university‟s broader agenda: “Making VU International University”. At a student level, aim at VU is to encourage international perspectives intercultural competence students. This paper‟s purpose is explore Internationalising first year core business subject especially in relation enhancing employability of graduate citizens who anticipate working in a community. Using VU‟s Toolkit for Curriculum, business unit Professional Development 1: Critical Thinking Problem Solving (PD1) examined to illustrate range o f teaching approaches that have been adopted develop students‟ global awareness hone their communication skills when working culturally diverse teams. Given cohorts on - and offshore are considerably differ ent terms composition inherent each cohort, this paper compares responses methods, unit‟s purpose and relevance Australian Malaysia Hong Kong.
