摘要: Background: Hypopharyngeal cancer is closely associated with smoking, drinking, and malnutrition. Recent findings reveal that carcinogenesis depends on genetic aberrations. Materials Methods: Eighty-one patients hypopharyngeal were analyzed for p53, CCND1, p27, 72 p21, immunohistochemically. Results: p53 overexpression was found in 70%, CCND1 17%, p21 29%, p27 32 %. The low intensity of expression correlated poor prognosis, but the level did not. Conclusion: immunohistochemical analysis provides a possible tool determining prognosis cancer.
