摘要: SKA1, an important mitosis protein, has been indicated in the initiation and progression of several malignancies. However, its clinical significance hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remain to be elucidated. mRNA expression SKA1 was examined 126 HCC paired non-neoplastic tissues using real-time PCR validated The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. protein detected immunohistochemistry associations with clinicopathological parameters prognosis were analyzed. Hierarchical cluster analysis gene set enrichment (GSEA) performed selected Gene Expression Omnibus data sets. significantly elevated from both local hospital TCGA Immunohistochemistry revealed that increased present 65 cases associated higher serum alpha-fetoprotein concentration, larger tumor size TNM stage. Patients positive showed worse overall relapse-free survival. Multivariate Cox regression independent predictor patient prognosis. profiling public high-SKA1 had similar profiles fetal liver tissues. Moreover, GSEA genes up-regulated high subgroup enriched cell cycle pathway, while down-regulated apoptosis pathway. Our findings indicate oncofetal might involved could serve as a prognostic marker for HCC.
