摘要: The mammalian trkB locus undergoes alternative splicing to produce two different types of brain-derived neurotrophic factor receptors. first type is the full-length receptor tyrosine kinase (TrkB(Tk+); second a truncated lacking intracellular domain (TrkB(Tk-)). To investigate function both TrkB in vivo, we have generated knockout mice all isoforms (trkB-/-) and compared sensory neuron survival these that previously described (trkB(k)-/-). We observed presence receptors trkB(k)-/- results more severe losses. Increased losses associated with were most regions where dependent on neurotrophin-3. Our data suggest negatively influence by interfering catalytic
