摘要: The performance of distributed shared memory (DSM) over a wide area network (WAN) may suffer due to high latencies because the low bandwidth available. To achieve acceptable performance, WAN-based DSM must minimize traffic. systems transmit consistency information via diffs. Existing diff mechanisms for that run on local networks are not appropriate they do compute minimally sized This paper presents new, low-overhead mechanism systems. Specifically, quickly computes diffs, applies and minimizes space used store We show our exhibits significantly reduced consumption costs when compared existing mechanisms.
