摘要: The composition of water given to dairy cattle is often ignored, yet a very important nutrient and plays major role in milk synthesis. objective this study was effects elevated levels iron bovine drinking on quality. Ferrous lactate treatments corresponding 0, 2, 5, 12.5mg/kg concentrations were delivered through the abomasum at 10 L/d 4 lactating cows over periods (1 wk infusion/period) Latin square design. On d 6 infusion, collected, processed (homogenized, pasteurized), analyzed. Mineral content (Fe, Cu, P, Ca) measured by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Oxidative stability whole thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) assay for malondialdehyde (MDA) sensory analysis (triangle test) within 72 h processing after 7d storage (4°C). Significant differences between milks from receiving control infusion observed. No TBARS (1.46±0.04 mg MDA/kg) or mineral (0.22±0.01 mg/kg Fe) A 2-way interaction (iron treatment cow) Ca, Fe seen. While added directly causes changes oxidation milk, high have subtle that initially may not be obvious.
