摘要: It has been suggested that a high level of progesterone facilitates the increase in ventilation during hypoxia animals as well humans (1,2). Recently, Bayliss et al. reported stimulates respiration through central mechanism anesthetized cat (3). However, there have few studies concerning mechanisms action on ventilatory response to hypoxia. In this study, we sought determine effects hypoxic depression stimulation. We hypothesized administration progesterone, chlormadinone acetate (CMA), may protect deterioration respiratory function To elucidate possible site(s) drug action, also compared before and after bilateral sectioning carotid sinus nerves, with or without rat.
