The lead free consists essentially of, by molecular percent, 30-80% SnO, 5.5-20% SiO 2 , 10-50% P O 5 . may contain at least one stabilizing elements, said elements including 3-25% ZnO, 0-4.9% B 3 0-5% Al 0-10% WO MoO Nb TiO ZrO 0-15% R (R is Li, Na, K, and/or Cs), CuO, MnO, R′O (R′ Mg, Ca, Sr Ba), total content being up to 40%.
