摘要: Reduced intracellular accumulation of drugs (due to rapid efflux) mediated by the efflux pump proteins belonging ABC (ATP Binding Cassette) and MFS (Major Facilitators) superfamily is one most common strategies adopted multidrug resistance (MDR) pathogenic yeasts. To combat MDR, it essential understand structure function these transporters so that inhibitors/modulators can be developed. The sequence alignments reveal selective divergence within much conserved domains Nucleotide-Binding Domains (NBDs) which unique all fungal transporters. Recently, role but divergent residues Candida Drug Resistance 1 (CDR1), an drug transporter human albicans, has been examined with regard ATP binding hydrolysis. In this paper, we focus on some recent advances relevance amino acids CaCdr1p also discuss as how interacts Trans Membrane (TMDs) for its extrusion from MDR cells.
