摘要: Abstract Biomass is nowadays considered as a very interesting option to substitute conventional fossil fuels. Although biomass could be burnt alone, it can also co-fired together with coal in existing power plants, at lower cost. One of the main problems related used thermal applications its propensity form ash deposits. Slagging and fouling caused by may derive heat transfer losses, corrosion tubes or even boiler shutdown. A deposition probe has been designed proved study this phenomenon. Several combustion tests have performed 500 kW th PF pilot test rig burning cynara blended two coals different shares energy basis. Different analyses those samples collected during tests. From results, observed that quantity did not increase noticeably when increasing share up 15% However, opposite was detected Spanish tests, due higher content. Major components were aluminosilicates coming from clays. These act protective compounds, but inorganic elements such calcium potassium appeared their presence increased share. chlorine content high, no important element encountered none collected. Experimental results agree other experimental studies showing preventing on surfaces. The beneficial effect pulverized fuel conditions.
