摘要: Crude fucoidan from Sargassum plagiophyllum extracted blade and purified by Q-Sepharose fast flow anion-exchange chromatography three fractions were obtained. Maximum sulphate containing fraction was considered as purity checked with agarose gel electrophoresis. The monosaccharides of analysed HPLC revealed the presence sugars such fucose a major sugar 70.8 mol%. percentages other galactose (13.5%), xylose (2.5%) mannose (11.2%). GPC used to analyse molecular weight it found be 35 kDa. levels ICDH, SDH, MDH, a-KGDH, Phase-I biotransformation enzymes, Phase-II enzymes decreased in cancer bearing animals which may due oxidative stress mitochondrial damage restored these enzyme activities. inhibition carcinogen metabolic activation indicates anticancer activity DEN induced liver cancer.
