摘要: Background: Use of glucosamine as an alternative treatment for osteoarthritis is becoming more frequent, including in those who have diabetes at the same time. The results from vitro and animal studies propose that may inversely affect glucose metabolism. However, recommended dose oral healthy people or diabetics did not such effects consistently. aim present study was to assess effect on glycemic control insulin resistance type 2 diabetic patients. Methods: Fifty-four patients with participated this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study. participants were assigned receive 1500 mg hydrochloride placebo 12 weeks. After determining their baseline characteristics, body mass index dietary intake components, fasting blood measured weeks 0, 8, 12. Indices function quantitative sensitivity check (QUICKI) homeostasis model assessment (HOMA-IR) calculated by specific formulas. Independent t-test general linear repeated measures used analyze data. Results: In group, means 107.31±24.07 mg/dl 8.75±4.37 µu/ ml, respectively baseline, which reached 112.38±31.50 9.10±4.17 week mean 103.84±24.15 9.79±4.02 beginning study, 111.40±26.43 8.58±3.68 showed there no significant differences glucose, insulin, HOMA-IR QUICKI indices all studied time points (weeks 8 12) within between groups. Conclusion: Twelve a normal supplements adverse
