摘要: This randomized controlled trial examined the effects of preoperative oral erythromycin or nizatidine on gastric pH and volume. Sixty patients, ASA 1 2 status scheduled for elective surgery were studied. All subjects received study medication with 10 ml water 60 minutes prior to surgery. Patients in Group (n=20) given 200 mg, 300 3 placebo capsule. A nasogastric tube was inserted immediately after anaesthesia induction. Gastric content aspirated, volume recorded. values determined 5.6+/-1.87; 2, 5.65+/-1.92 3, 3.5+/-1.93. There no statistical difference between Groups but there a statistically significant (P<0.001). The 10.25+/-6.65 1, 10.3+/-6.29 20.25+/-16.72 3. Again, (P<0.05). proportion patients considered "at risk" lung injury should aspiration occur 10% 5% 20% (not different). We conclude that one hour are effective reducing
