摘要: Amphibians are often exposed to a wide variety of perturbations. Two these, pesticides and pathogens, linked declines in both amphibian health population viability. Many studies have examined the separate effects such perturbations; however, few simultaneous exposure amphibians. In this study, we larval southern leopard frog tadpoles (Lithobates sphenocephalus) chytrid fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis fungicide thiophanate-methyl (TM) at 0.6 mg/L under laboratory conditions. The experiment was continued until all larvae completed metamorphosis or died. Overall, TM facilitated increases tadpole mass length. Additionally, individuals Bd were heavier larger, compared other treatments. also cleared infected larvae. We conclude that affects anurans facilitate growth development while clearing infection. Our findings highlight need for more research into multiple perturbations, specifically disease, further promote heath.
