摘要: Porphyromonas gingivalis is considered a major pathogen in adult periodontitis and also associated with multiple systemic diseases, for example, cardiovascular diseases. One of its most important virulence factors invasion host cells. The process includes attachment, entry/internalization, trafficking, persistence, exit. present review discusses these processes related to P. cells tissue. Although strains invade, the capacity mechanisms including intracellular trafficking among them differ. This consistent fact that there are significant differences pathogenicity strains. dependent on types much known about gingivalis, we still have little knowledge exit mechanisms. Nevertheless, it intriguing can remain viable human atherosclerotic plaque later re-enter previously uninfected
