摘要: Background/purpose Kawasaki disease (KD) is a of unknown cause and the causative agent most likely to be infectious in nature. To investigate household transmission pattern illness etiology, we thus initiated prospective case study. Methods We enrolled KD cases their members from February 2004 September 2008. The accepted questionnaire-based interviews contact history, signs infection, symptoms check whether clusters occurred. Results A total 142 KD 561 were enrolled. Among cases, 136 (96%) typical KD, six (4%) atypical KD. Of members, 17% siblings, 46% parents, 18% grandparents, others cousins or babysitters. Prior onset illness, 66% (94/142) had with ill members. On same day cases' 4% (6/142) illness. After onset, 70% (100/142) at least one other family member Overall, 61% (343/561) all acute during stage, 92% (130/142) families Conclusion positive prior so strongly associated infections.
