摘要: Background/Purpose Kawasaki disease (KD) is a of unknown cause. To investigate the infectious etiology disease, we initiated prospective case-control study to possible links between common viral infections and disease. Methods We enrolled 226 children with KD age- sex-matched healthy from February 2004 March 2010. Throat nasopharyngeal swabs were taken for both isolation polymerase chain reaction (PCR) various viruses. Results The mean age cases was 2.07 years, male female ratio 1.43 (133 boys 93 girls). Their fever duration 7.5 days peak temperature 39.7°C. In addition typical symptoms fever, neck lymphadenopathy, lip fissure and/or strawberry tongue, skin rash, nonpurulent bulbar conjunctivitis, palm/sole erythema, induration followed by periungual desquamation, these also exhibited cough (69%), rhinorrhea (58%), diarrhea (45%). Cases had significantly higher positive rate in comparison control group (7.5% vs. 2.2%, p = 0.02). Compared group, more likely have overall rates PCR (50.4% 16.4%, p Conclusion found that some respiratory viruses, such as adenoviruses, enteroviruses, rhinoviruses, coronaviruses, associated cases.
