摘要: Long-term fish assemblage monitoring requires investigators account for within-year variation in species' detection. An occupancy modelling framework is presented that accounts species presence and estimates the effort required to minimise variation. Species detections from snorkelling surveys an electrofishing survey were used single-species models determine importance of site sampling covariates on (psi) detection probabilities (p). Community estimated richness light undetected species. For most species, including patch size reach as psi-covariates had higher support whereas method p-covariates support. The number sites repeated estimate accurately varied among suggested observed underestimated actual much 27% addition increased by 13%.
