摘要: Ring-opening reactions of maleic anhydride (1)/isobutene (2) copolymer (Mw = 2,76 · 105 g/mol), carried out by the use of: NaOH solution (hydrolysis); NH3; NH(CH3)2; N(CH3)3; NH(C2H5)2 and H2N(CH2CH2NH)2CH2CH2NH2 (TETA), resp., yielded water-soluble products, with exception TETA-modified copolymer. The degrees conversion α were found to be in range between 87 100%, N(CH3)3-reacted where 41,6%. As a result reactions, weight-average molecular weights Mw dropped significantly, 30% case hydrolysis, 40% cases ammoniation or amination, despite mild conditions which employed. Based on nitrogen contents analytically, as well 13C NMR spectra, it was concluded that under given using ammonia amines do not proceed beyond half-amidation step. investigations products both amination indicate directing influence produced CH3 groups isobutene unit. result, only those carbonyl remote from pendant substitutents are prone an attack causes amidation.
