摘要: Widespread variation in 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) assays continues to compromise efforts develop clinical and public health guidelines regarding vitamin status. The Vitamin Standardization Program helps alleviate this problem. Reference measurement procedures standard reference materials have been developed allow current, prospective, retrospective standardization of 25(OH)D results. Despite advances measurement, substantial variability laboratory persists. Existing not used standardized data and, as a result, it seems unlikely that consensus definitions deficiency, inadequacy, sufficiency, excess will soon be reached. Until evidence-based is reached, reasonable approach advocated.
