摘要: Background Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer (PCa) are the most common urological diseases in elderly men. Although studies suggest cytokine family might be associated with BPH PCa, there has been no systematic comparisons of expression IL-17A, E, F their receptors, infiltration inflammatory cells, changes structural cells PCa BPH. Methods Immunohistochemistry was employed to evaluate immunoreactivity for receptors IL-17RA, IL-17BR, IL-17CR, including endothelial fibroblasts, smooth muscle tissues from subjects or as well controls. Results Immunostaining showed that IL-17E, IL-17F significantly elevated tissue compared controls, which accompanied by increased numbers infiltrating CD31+ blood vessels. Compared BPH, characterized reduced IL-17BR CD68+ macrophages, although a trend these correlate disease severity both BPH. Conclusion Our data compatible hypothesis IL-17A acting through but not IL-17CR contribute pathogenesis PCa. In contrast, IL-17E interacting have an anti-tumor effect.
